Kansas City is facing a widening budget gap thanks to a national recession, dwindling sales and income tax and crumbling infrastructure. A new report shows Kansas City, Missouri will face an $84 million shortfall by 2010 if nothing's done. The 188 page document praises the city for fiscal responsibility, but also sees opportunities it's not taking to contain cost and tax more.
